Letting go of the past
Suffering is not holding you. You are holding suffering when you become good at the art of letting go; then you’ll come to realize how unnecessary it was for you to drag those burdens around with you. You’ll see that no one else other than you was responsible. The truth is that existence wants your life to become a festival. – Osho
Left The Past Behind: Osho said in his message that we the people always dig into our golden past, but it’s time for us to learn the language of the golden future. Future that always reflects the possibilities. Our goal should not need to change the world; our goal should be focused on our own self; we need to be the change when we will start changing our self, dramatically we will change the whole world. Every changed human being shall reflect his /her radiates in thousands of thousands of others.
As Osho said, the man has had so many layers imposed on him about everything; he thinks all these thoughts are his own. As a seeker, you have to discriminate very carefully between what is yours and what has been given to you. And the moment you start sorting it out, you will be amazed to know that you don’t have anything of your own. You are just a silent lake. In that silent lake your Buddhahood arises, your nature is in its purity in its splendor in its blissfulness.
Lessons from Osho
Be Yourself: Never try to be someone else; when you follow someone else or idealize someone’s identity it carried way your true potentials and without your own choose or your identity, you only bring sorrow in your life.
Be With Reality: Yes it is true that, everything a man can imagine is possible, but you have to be in the reality too, day dreams will only fall you into the darkness, create a plan before you do something. Without a plan, you will execute neither your idea nor your dreams.
Osho’s Lessons on Moving From the Past:
The most difficult thing in life is to drop the past because to drop the past means to drop the whole identity, to drop the whole identity, to drop the whole personality. It is to drop yourself. You are nothing but your past; you are nothing but our conditionings.
It is not like dropping clothes–it is as if one’s skin is being peeled off. Your past is all that you know you are. Dropping is difficult, arduous–the most difficult thing in life. But those who can dare to drop it, only they live. Others simply pretended to live, others simply go on and dragging themselves somehow. They don’t have any vitality– they can’t have. They live at a minimum, and to live at minimum is to miss the whole thing.- Osho
