A thought is the most childish thing; it does behave like an infant. If you force it to stop; it will come again, and the second time it would be more powerful.
To understand its meaning let us try to do an exercise together. I will tell you a name of an animal your work would be to stop thinking about it.
The name of the animal is ELEPHANT
So what are you thinking now?
Is it about the elephant; the size of it and the picture of it? Right
However, it’s completely normal, our thoughts and our mind are not in our control. We cannot order it to turn off or on. Thought is not like a bulb or a TV.
In fact, this is the reason behind our all sadness. Our mind and our thought’s work for its own. It finds pleasure in those things which most of the time seems to be your enemy for happiness.
- Now the question arrives; is it possible to control it?
- Does mind and thoughts could be controllable?
Yes, indeed it is possible, but it would be a very tough job to do.
I wonder what should happen if you stop thinking. Thinking is not our problem at all; even I will say it is the most precious thing.
It gifted you to judge either a situation is right or wrong for you. So preventing your thinking or your thought’s means to prevent your fundamental ideas, the natural intellect.
However, the real question would be “how we can find peace?”
We can enjoy peace by understanding the dimensions of thoughts
2 Dimensions of Thoughts
Thoughts will be defined in two ways, one that is positive and the other that is negative.
- Negative thoughts are our problems
Negative thoughts ride you to unhealthiness, insecurity, and egoistic problems. Turning down your negative thought’s means to turn down your negative blaze.
Sometimes I speculate what would be the state when a person lives without any thoughts, for him, the surrounding will not make any sense.
- Is that what you need?
Sorry, but in my case, I prefer to be aware of my circumstances. I prefer to be informed by nature what exactly is happening around me. I don’t want to prevent it, but I want to live in peace, so how do I do it?
There is a way existing for it; if you calm down your mind and if you control your thoughts. Why not control it rather than seeking the ways to turn off.
Why should not you become the master of your mind than to be a slave to it?
Becoming the master means you are going to order it. Hey! Listen, my thoughts, stop producing jealousy, and there will be no jealousy, it would be that simple, without any struggle at all.
Now the Second Step How to Control it?
Obviously, your mind is wandering about a question “how to control it?”
By observing it: Normally when you sit to think, you start your journey with the bombarding of negative thoughts. As a result, you started yelling at yourself, but this time, we will not do it.
We will watch our thoughts, how it arrives and how it passes away? Without disturbing it
There will be a thousand thoughts in your mind, and even you may face with brutal anger, but still you will not engage with it. You will permit it to arrive.
Moreover, by giving it permission, you will start to appreciate your mind and even you will explore the source of your negative thoughts.
Prevent the cause, not the thoughts.
For example; think about a situation, where you wish to reduce your fat, but you won’t stop eating.
Thoughts are not your enemy; your enemy is your source, by observing your thoughts, you will learn to prevent it.
And by preventing it you will become conscious, and you will understand your intellect. You will raise your mental power and your mind will start wishing to follow ‘intellectuality.’
After a while you will start ignoring scandals; you will lift up your mind to a whole new level, where daily negativities will never find space to dwell.
