I can remember the first time when I ask this question to myself. It was in my school days; when I was in 11th standard.
It was an epic moment for me; even the question itself was; it came across to me as a result of an explanation of astrophysics from my teacher.
Whatsoever, but the first time it was irrelevant to me; I was too young to understand it, but later I came across with Vivekananda’s words and teachings where I got all my answers.
However, I had not applied it until the day I felt from that bus, those who know me would be familiar with the incident.
What I understood about this topic is “If we need to find ourselves, we need to enlighten our inner self and to enlighten ourselves, we need to enlighten our habits.”
Habits turn us who we are; there are some ways through which you can enlighten your habit.
Let us discuss this through this article
11 Habits To Find Your True Self
Be a Learner: You can only find your true self if you wish to become a lifelong learner. Without being a learner, it would be hard for you to find your true self. A learner can see the things that a scholar cannot even imagine. Give up the arrogance first, then bow down to the ground, be a soft-heart learner, and then you will explore things that you have never sensed before.
Stay Out Of Negativities: We must have to admit that we are surrounded by negativities all the way of our life. Hence it becomes hard to stay humble and kind. It is true that an explorer means who love the human kind, but an explorer also means that he knows what to avoid in his life and what to follow.
Disagree With Statesman’s: It is not a crime to have the different opinion on a subject that is already accepted, or carried by your ancestors. It means you have an outlook – you want to learn things deeply, and you wholeheartedly want to explore the whole truth. Furthermore, ask questions to everything – because that is the only way to exploring yourself.
Meditate a Day Long: What is the actual meaning of meditation? Meditation means to devote your true-self into an entity, and making that entity as your center of attention; in our case we use breath as an entity to attain that spot. Use that power of entity in your life, focus only on yourself, deep insight of you.
Remain With Good Thoughts: René Descartes once said it is not enough to have a good mind; the main thing is to use it well. Take proper care of your thoughts, as I always write in my articles, thoughts are the brick of your building. Shining and positive thoughts make your mind positive, negativity’s, gossips drive them away.
Love Yourself Unconditionally: It been accepted that humans love them more than anything else, but I would disagree with that statement because we don’t love ourselves at all. If we love ourselves, then we may not smoke, we may not drink, we may not eat fast-foods even. Love means giving everything that is good for you without the desire for getting back.
Look for Joy: Happiness or joy cannot be attained without realizing your true-self. Your true-self will help you identify that your joy is deep insight of you when you realize that you stop the practice of seeking it outside, and obtain the true happiness and that happiness is limitless without the boundaries of time-space and situations.
Have a Choice: Always have choices, if the situation is not falling into our terms no matter, recall in your mind that you have a choice. You will never go to panic, and you will deal with it politely and peacefully. What is the benefit of your education if you can’t control yourself in those moments for which you had already spent years and years.
Keep a Diary: One of these must have tools for an explorer is a Diary. The diary helps you find your thoughts. What you think, what you have learned so far, and what are you giving to the society. Diary reflects them all; keep a diary to yourself always wherever you go.
Love Your Work: Our mind gets diverted if we don’t do the work that we love. Love for your work encourages you to find your true self; ultimately that love brings happiness, and that happiness helps you look deep insight of yourself.
Be Kind to a Stranger: Do you know why people cross us? It is not that they are bad; it is just that we are not trustworthy. We don’t allow them to build that trust. From the first moment, we make a wall in front of us, and that wall never allowed them to love us. Trust them; they will trust you back.
