Have you ever felt that chaotic environment after using a mobile device or watching a TV for constantly up to one hour? It’s the stress that lives with us whenever we overly use a technological device, or we cross the line of simplicity.
I am not going to express anything that would represent an unpractical picture about simplicity which would not be comparable with our current lifestyle.
In my personal view, I am living a simple life for a long time now. Recently I had quit using the mobile devices as well, but I do use a computer as I have to maintain this blog. Still, there are some rules that I follow, and I find it peaceful for my life.
Here is what you need to do…
Flow with Time: Situation doesn’t work when we try to control our day when we plan too much about upcoming times. Planning is essential, but that doesn’t mean you have to control everything, some parts of the day will never go to follow your chart. You must have to always ready for it. When time unfolds mysteries by itself, life becomes so interesting to live.
Think Positive: Some people own everything in their life, but still they are unhappy. And some own nothing but still they are happy. They don’t find anything to grief for, and they always feel complete about their life. They believe that everything that occurred in their life, even the bad ones carried a reason behind it; it’s just that, sometimes we don’t understand it.
Cut Down Negativities: We are what we watch and listen in our everyday life. Our consummation of material programs and gossips and negative views and massive use of the internet makes us. We talk and think in that way, in common words, we influenced by them. Cut down all of it; watch only those programs from which you can actually learn something. Talk with people’s those who carry positive vibrations. Use internet when it’s necessary.
Wise Decisions: Make promises when you can keep them, otherwise skip it. It’s not bad at all to say “no” to someone when you don’t feel connected with the charge. Set up your boundaries that you love to be with and make a promise to yourself that you will not cross the minimalist line.
Give up Unnecessary Stuff: Use only those clothes and equipment which are necessary and cut down the extra baggage. Clear out the junks in the email box, desktop icons, and unused apps and unsubscribe from all the spam emails.
Set Priorities: Time is the most precious thing in our life, and time is also the most wasted one. Set your priorities, evaluate which work deserves your attention more, and give your attention to that work first. Do the toughest work first so that you don’t lose your zest?
Practice Silence: Every day set a time-period for practicing silence. Maintain a quiet place in the room and spend some time alone. You can also practice self-Talk into that zone. Self-talk will help you to energize yourself and you will feel fresh about your life.
Eat Healthy: Foods plays a significant role in our negative thought process. Give up eating fast foods and adopt a healthy eating lifestyle. Healthy foods will help you bring peace and happiness to your life.
Reduce Channels: It would be nice to say that, cut down your cable connection, but in reality, it would be the toughest work to do for the majority of people. Instead of cutting down the connection you can also cut the channels. Block those channels which are violent in nature, or a waste of time. Set up a fixed time for watching TV and watch those channels from which you can gain some knowledge.
Work Slowly: Every one of us wants to get things done fast because we need more time to spend with our families, but to do so we made mistakes later that increases the chances of stress. Give up this habit and in place of that do the work slowly. It may not look fit for the first time, but you will get your outcome healthy.
Keep a Minimalist Journal: Commit to yourself that you will maintain a regular journal; a daily/weekly journal will help you to prioritize your work well. You will be able to express your heart out and you will be able to identify what’s important to you and what’s not.
Practice kindness: Help people those who are in need of it. Kindness is an incredible power to develop happiness in your life, every act of kindness can bring the light of bliss in your life. Express it out, and donate clothes and feed people and spread happiness in this world.
Dwell with Nature: Every week set up a time frame for spending it with nature, nature will reduce your stress. You will rejuvenate yourself, you will be able to live peacefully, and you will be able to handle people well.
Every change that we try to adopt in our life takes a long time. However, if it’s a good one, then the wait is way worthwhile.
