Who does not wish to become perfect in his/her life? But one thing for sure we can admit that the quality of perfection is not that easy task. After years of practice and even with a good reputation people still made mistakes.
Remember those teachings which we had learned in our childhoods “mistake is stairs to climb perfection.” But does it true?
I don’t admit that. Mistakes are not stairs to perfection. Instead, I will say there is no such thing which we can call perfection. Perfectionism is a myth-then what the reality is? The reality is we learn from our mistakes. These mistakes help us to become better at our work.
Unfortunately, most of us don’t think in that way. Instead, we lose our motivation, and even more we started to think about it all the time, and then what happens – these negative energy doesn’t allow us to become creative.
Ironically, it kills the energy. It filled your mind with negative thoughts, instead of productive works it produces negativity.
For the most of the part, instead of seeking for the ways to stop making mistakes, it is better to accept it. When you start accepting it, you learn the ways to develop it.
Skipping a situation never gifts you the solution. As John C. Maxwell said, “A man must be big enough to admit his mistakes, smart enough to profit from them, and strong enough to correct them.”
Over Coming making Silly Mistakes
Accept It: Accepting is the first solution. Accept that you cannot control everything. No one can; it’s an impossible task, even those Peoples who we called as genius makes thousands of mistakes in their life. The truth behind that – these are the ways how people grow themselves. We know it as an experience; that’s the most important thing in life, and it will only continue.
Wise Goal Setup: Don’t set up a goal that is entirely unrealistic, or else looks like – yes a man can do anything that is imaginable, but imagination is not the solution, be grounded with your resources. Set goal that can be reachable, one step at a time. A small goal gives you hope to pursue more. Otherwise, you will fall a short with your high expectations.
Be a Learner: One of the worst things that we can do to ourselves is to carry a belief that we have already learned too much, we know everything about our work. “The self-proclaimed experts.” But in general, that doesn’t work. Build an open mind to learn new things, the more you learn, the fewer mistakes you will do.
Find Lessons: Every mistake carries a good lesson with it, instead of focusing only on the mistakes; we can channel our energies to find a lesson from it.
Be Responsible: When you start running from your mistakes, you build up a chance to make that mistake again shortly. Be responsible and accountable for your actions, watch it as they come, start analyzing it, find the source of it, ask questions like “why this happened” and then try to solve it.
Relief Stress: For being in a more productive life you need to follow a lifestyle that is less stressful. Stress not just happen because of your careless attitude, but it also occurs due to your surroundings. Try to manage a transparent atmosphere, a clear room to stay, a definite place to work, and a clear mind to reflect.
Clear Focus: Most of the time we repeat a mistake because we lack focus. Stop wondering about other stuff, such as, what your social profile is saying now? What your friends are doing now? Or questions like can I do much better work in this time? These types of questions distract your mind from your work; then your subconscious mind repeats that old mistakes again.
Be Mindful At Your Work: Practice mindfulness each day. Mindful living helps you to live with your inner peace. Enjoy your work each time, playfully work with it? Don’t see your works as a barrier or a curse; watch them as an opportunity to grow yourself.
Day In Day Out: Practice your work each day, it doesn’t matter if you have failed today, you can still do it in your next training session. The more you practice, the more you uplift yourself from your past version. It’s like an android application fixing your bug each day for a better user experience.
Hold for Sometimes: You can try this step under mindfulness also. Don’t make a personality – who is super flows’. Furthermore, when someone asks for help, hold for some time, take a deep breath, think about the problems, rearrange your options, and then try to solve it.
Praise Yourself: Instead of beating yourself for your minor mistakes, try to appreciate yourself to increase your willpower. Repeat positive, affirmative words, such as I will do it properly in my next task. These types of stupid mistakes happen to everyone.
Be Active: Get rid of lazy attitudes. Be proactive in your works. Start loving your work. Believe that you are adding some values to this world. When you do that wholeheartedly, your efficiency increases, and you become a man of value, and at the end of the day, you make fewer mistakes.
