After every storm the sun will smile; for every problem, there is a solution, and the soul’s indefeasible duty is to be of good cheer. –William R. Alger
Life is not a problem to be solved, but a reality to be experienced. – Soren Kierkegaard
God never takes away something from us without giving us something better. When you pray, don’t beg, just simply believe. That’s how faith works
Let me tell you what I mean to you by mentioning the word better. Better doesn’t mean it would be a pleasant experience. Better would be a harsh experience as well. Harsh realities teach us better than the happy moments.
In our daily life, we asked this above question a lot of time. Today we will read a story together and will try to understand why God gives us these problems.
This story is about Japanese people; they always love fresh fish. However, the waters close to Japan didn’t hold much fish for decades. So to find more fish, fishermen had to go farther. The farther they went, the more days they would spend at sea, before bringing the fish to the market. And by that time, the fish were not fresh anymore, and the taste was not so good for the Japanese standards.
The installment of freezers on the boats was one solution applied by the fishing companies. The freezers would keep the fish frozen, and the boats could spend even more days at sea. However, the taste of the frozen fish, again, was not as good as the taste of the fresh fish, then the fishing companies thought to install fish tanks. The fisherman caught the fish and stuffed them in the tanks. This way the fish were kept alive, but after a few hours they would get tired, and they would stop moving.
Unfortunately, the fish would not move for many days and would lose their freshness. Again, you taste the difference. Finally, a creative mind came up with another solution to the problem. Fishing companies put the fish in the tanks and then added a small shark to the tank! The shark ate a few fish, but most of them were in a very lively state because here the challenge is the key to maintaining the vitality of mind and body!
In our life this philosophy applies as well, to keep us fresh and alive, we face problems; these so-called problems keep us alive. It gives hope and fighting spirit to live our full potential.
Furthermore, these problems also add qualities to think out of the box. What do you say? If your Smartphone doesn’t hang ever, then why would anyone ever invent an iPhone?
Reasons for falling in Problems
For a Better Version of You: Whether you accept it or not, but just like the fresh fish in that tank we need a shark for us as well. This shark keeps us alive, and that shark is a symbol of our problems, hunger, and our apathy to fight for our life.
For Finding Your Life Purpose: Every individual in this world has a unique life purpose to fulfill, problems give that spark to understand whether the way you are traveling is important to you or not.
For Leaving a Legacy Behind You: How many times you face or experience people those who never face a problem and get done anything in life. It’s not possible and, our history proves that.
Look into the history, those who had left a legacy behind them it is quite obvious for them to face the problem as well. As a proverb goes “The tree that has the highest number of fruits gets the highest number of stones as well.”
How to Deal With These Challenges in Our Life
Live Like a Child: Remember those days when we were kids. We used to cry for that thing, which doesn’t have any value in the long run.
However, we still do – just because we were completely unaware of that. Nothing has changed still now. We are still unaware of our future. Instead, of crying for the misfortune, it’s better to hold faith in God.
Conflict of Mind: When I first started my journey into the mindfulness world, I used to think I was better than others, but after going deep down into that ocean I learned that I am nowhere different from others.
I am still that stupid person who makes silly mistakes. What makes the difference now – it would be my patience to hold for a while, to stop the complaints.
Learning Mind Set: As the above story just goes like that everything in our life comes for a reason, those reasons carried lesson which we will never be able to learn if we stay in that comfort zone throughout our life. Never fear those challenges, be brave, be courageous, and be like the lion.
Smile in Difficulty: I am fortunate enough in my life to be able to meet those people who have an incredible ability to smile into situations when most of us will give up. I have learned a lesson from that, no matter how hard the situation is, I will always smile, I will never give up.
Be Active: Always be proactive in your life. Hate to live a lazy life, do work, be fit and fine. Practice regular exercise. When your mind remains healthy and fine, you will be able to gather strength to fight.
Positive Outlook: Live your life positively, yes you have many negative things to consider, but still if you choose to be positive there will be ways to be positive.
